Safety is pretty important when you are using your crossbow, just like all the Excalibur’s they are very safe and reliable. The safety is pretty solid, the Vixen II engages when it should and disengage with ease.
The trigger pull is very nice with just a bit of play. I would recommend purchasing Guardian Anti-Dry Fire accessory for extra precaution to ensure that there are no accidental dry fires. Only because the Vixen II does not come with it already applied.
